About Us

Logo of Recreate Center with colorful arrows forming a heart shape.

Recreate Center is a community-focused creative reuse art center dedicated to art education, sustainability, and inclusion. We provide affordable art classes, camps, sewing lessons, crochet workshops, and hands-on creative experiences for children, families, homeschool groups, and individuals of all abilities. Our mission is to inspire creativity while reducing waste by collecting and redistributing donated reusable art supplies back into the community. Through inclusive programming and artistic exploration, we strive to make art accessible, meaningful, and enriching for everyone. Located in downtown Stuart, the Recreate Center is more than an art studio — it’s a place to create, connect, learn, and grow together.

About the Founder

Hi, I’m Krinda-Holly, founder of Recreate Center. My passion is creating a welcoming space where creativity, community, and inclusion come together. I believe art should be accessible to everyone — children, families, homeschool students, individuals with special needs, and anyone looking for a place to create freely.

What started as a dream to combine art education with community impact has grown into a creative reuse center offering art classes, sewing, crochet, camps, workshops, and donated reusable art supplies. I love helping people discover confidence through creativity while giving materials a second life instead of letting them go to waste.

My goal is to build a safe, inspiring environment where people can learn new skills, express themselves, and feel connected through art. I also created the BUY NOTHING PORT ST LUCIE community, which has grown to over 4,000 members sharing and receiving items to help keep usable goods out of landfills.

Creativity has always been part of who I am. My mom loves telling the story of how, once I discovered paper and pencils, they went everywhere with me. I was constantly doodling, drawing, imagining, and creating. That lifelong passion for art and community is what inspired me to open Recreate Center — a place where others can experience the joy of creating too.

At the Recreate Center, we believe creativity and sustainability go hand in hand. Our donated art goods program gives new life to reusable art supplies that might otherwise end up in landfills. We collect gently used and surplus creative materials such as fabric, yarn, paper, paint supplies, craft tools, beads, sewing materials, and more, then redistribute them back into the community for affordable and meaningful creative use. By recycling and reusing art materials, we help reduce waste while making art more accessible for families, teachers, students, nonprofits, homeschool groups, and artists of all ages. Every donated item becomes an opportunity for imagination, learning, and connection. Together, we are building a more creative, sustainable community — one reused art supply at a time.
